The recently published book, “Practical Management of Complex Cancer Pain Handbook” was awarded BMA Medical Book of the year 2015 as well as first prize in oncology category. This award is based on submission from publishers of medical books from across the globe and there were over 630 nominations. The award is made to the publication which is deemed to best fulfill the criteria of clinical accuracy and currency and which maintains a high standard of design and publication.
Dr. Datta of Center for Pain Management contributed a chapter for this book, which was published by Oxford University Press (OUP). Dr Sanjeeva Gupta, one editor of the book, stated, “We are delighted with this award and our huge thanks go to all the authors who contributed chapters to the book and also to the Oxford University Press for helping us to bring this work together for a wider clinical audience.”
